Settings on the watch
Hold UP, pick Watch Face, select Fieldcraft, press START, then Customize. The menu is drawn in the style of the face: a short How it works guide, the theme, the typeface, the six cells, the three gauges, the two outdoor graphs, the screen shown, and switches for the seconds and the always-on brightness. The same settings are in Garmin Connect if you prefer the phone.
Two full screens
The main screen is a tactical display: three segmented gauges around the edge, the date, the time with seconds, a grid of six cells, sunrise and sunset, the moon phase, Bluetooth and messages. On watches with a touchscreen, press and hold the face to switch to the outdoor screen: the sun arc with the daylight left, two history graphs (altitude and pressure by default) and the moon phase. Hold again to come back. On watches without a touchscreen, choose the screen shown in the settings.
Make it yours
- Six themes: Night Vision, Amber, Arctic, Blaze, Red Ops, and a custom theme in one of ten colours.
- Two typefaces for the time: technical and condensed.
- Each of the six cells: steps, heart rate, calories, floors, Body Battery, stress, watch battery, distance, intensity minutes, altitude, temperature, notifications, sunrise or sunset, respiration, pressure, or nothing.
- Each of the three gauges: steps, Body Battery, stress, watch battery, floors or intensity minutes, against your goal or against 100.
- The two outdoor graphs: heart rate, Body Battery, stress, altitude or pressure, over 3, 6 or 12 hours.
The pressure trend compares now with three hours ago. The moon phase is calculated from the date and time. The graphs draw only what your watch has kept. If your watch has no value, the face shows -- rather than a made-up number.
Try it first
Fieldcraft Lite is free: the same two screens in Night Vision, with fixed cells and gauges.
Always-on
A separate always-on design on a black screen: thin digits and the date. It shifts slightly every minute to protect the screen.
Compatible with the Garmin AMOLED watches listed below. English only. Nothing leaves the watch.
